FAQs

Can I follow the FLI program with a busy or unpredictable schedule?

Absolutely. FLI was built for the everyday athletes juggling shift work, family life, and full calendars. Most sessions range from 45-60 minutes. All workouts are scalable, so you can adjust the intensity, duration, and format to match your day.

What if I don’t have access to the gym?

No gym? No problem. FLI includes full programs designed for bodyweight or minimal gear. Our workouts are ideal for at-home, travel, or in the gym. They meet you where you are at.

Do I need to be at a certain fitness level to start?

Not at all. FLI is for all athletes from beginners, those getting back into fitness, and seasoned athletes. Each workout includes scaled and coaching so you can choose the right intensity and progression for your current fitness level. Progress at your own pace with a clear path forward.

How does FLI support mental and emotional wellness?

Our approach goes beyond physical fitness. At FLI, we believe true readiness includes mental resilience and emotional strength. We that support recovery, mindfulness, and stress management because showing up strong means more than just muscle.

Meet Michael Giardina

Co-Founder, Front Line Initiative | Performance and Integration | 20+ years in the Field

  • I’ve spent my life helping people perform at their highest level—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

From the United States Navy to 17 years with CrossFit, my focus evolved from performance to something deeper: building resilience, sustainable habits, and true ownership of health.

Working with frontline communities reinforced a powerful truth: the pressure we face isn’t unique—it’s human. And learning to navigate it is what separates those who show up from those who stand out.

We’ve built FLI through lived experience, realizing this isn’t just about training. It’s about helping people take control of their lives. I want people to understand who they are beneath the noise and expectations. What started in the frontline space has evolved into something bigger: a platform for transformation. This is about becoming stronger, thinking clearer, and showing up with purpose. Showing up not just for a moment, but for life. It’s about doing the work to become a better version of yourself, over and over again.

Meet Grant Langston

Founder, Front Line Initiative | Firefighter | Paramedic | Tactical Performance Coach

  • Built through years of training. Proven under pressure.

For over 20 years, I’ve helped athletes and individuals perform at a higher level—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Today, as a firefighter and paramedic with over seven years of experience, I bring that same standard to the environments where performance matters most.

I’ve seen what pressure demands: the stress, the weight, and the expectation to show up ready every time. And I believe this: everyone is on the frontline of something. Whether it’s your career, your family, or your personal battles, the demand to perform is real.

That perspective drives my mission: helping people move beyond just getting through life and instead build the strength, resilience, and mindset to thrive in it.

Through Front Line Initiative, I bridge the gap between performance training and real-world application—developing stronger, more capable individuals who are ready for whatever life puts in front of them.
